End of Year SMARTR Outcome

By the end of the 2020-2021 school year, students with disabilities will increase their pass rate on the english SOL from 60% to 75%

Strategy 1

  • English curriculum teams will collaborate to develop common assessments, analyze data, and intervene as needed. (MTSS Tier 1)

Strategy 2

  • Curriculum teams will collaborate to unpack essential standards, plan a common pacing guide, and scaffolded instructional strategies. (MTSS Tier 1)

Strategy 3

  • All teachers will integrate opportunities for students to be reading and writing within their content (MTSS Tier 1)

Strategy 4

  • Implementation of MTSS/RI Support Team and supports for Interdisciplinary and Curriculum Teams (MTSS Tier 2)

Strategy 5

  • Reading Inventory (RI) data used to identify students with significant needs and monitored for growth  (MTSS Tier 3)

End of Year SMARTR Outcome

By the end of the 2020-2021 school year, students with disabilities will increase theri pass rate on the math SOL from 66% to 70%.

Strategy 1

  •  Identify students for support by name and by need  (MTSS Tier 1) .

Strategy 2

  • Implement support programs within the general-education/ team taught math classroom (MTSS Tier 1).

Strategy 3

  • Power Math class for identified students in Grade 7 Math and Pre-Algebra (MTSS Tier 2)

Strategy 4

  • Identified students will participate in core replacement programs for their level of math instruction (MTSS Tier 3)

End of Year SMARTR Outcome

By the end of the 2020-2021 school year, the percentage of black students enrolling in at least one honors course (for the 2021-2022 school year) will increase from 48.2% (19-20) to 58% (21-22).

  • Student services, staff, and administrators will promote relationship building.

Strategy 2

  • Additional identification and support for Young Scholars

Strategy 3

  •  Interdisciplinary Teams will discuss and identify students for Young Scholars.
