South County Middle School has been recognized by the Virginia Department of Education and the Virginia Council on the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children as a 2023 Purple Star School.

Congratulations to Intervention Specialist Katelyn M. Hagen on her recognition as the FCPS 2023 Outstanding School-Based Professional Employee at this year's FCPS Honors event, held at George Mason University Center for the Arts on June 14th.

Eighth grade students will participate in a Day of Service on Wednesday, Jun 7, 2023.  Our purpose is to encourage students to become productive, ethical citizens of a global community by providing opportunities to give back to our community and the world.

At their July 14 meeting, the School Board presented a resolution in recognition of South County Middle School's 10th Anniversary since it opened its doors to students.
